Isle of Skye to be renamed with it's Gaelic name? - renaming a boat in ontario
On BBC Radio 4 this morning heard that the Council of the Isle of Skye, remove, replace the name of Skye and the name of the ancient Irish island. Is that a bad train whereas most tourists and visitors to Skye do not know do not speak Irish and new tourists of Skye boat when it is not in English!?

I think I might have a name like a lot of pain from other parts of Scotland, Ireland and Wales, but should be) the common name (Skye always be first.
I think it starts at a Irish mafia in Scotland. There was a big boost Toope more Irish primary schools (a large, recently opened in Glasgow) and a new Irish television channels.
No offense, the speakers but not the Irish language of Scotland. The vast majority of Scots have English as their mother tongue and in the lowlands of Scotland Irish language has never been so frequent. I do not know why we are to insist on pushing the Irish language in Scotland. Scotland would prefer a second language (was), after English, French or Spanish.
I think if it `s possible to get, English DR signs in Polish, then Scotland should be able to use their own language.
Donald `s, where yoor Troob?
I think if you put a display of the old name and the name in Irish, then it all would like it. I did this in many towns and villages in the north of Scotland.
People will get used to the change. The Irish name Eilean a 'Cheo, island of the mist, it is romantic. Some say that is the name of Skye, Eilean Sgiathanach (Winged Isle), and "Bonny-speed boat like a bird on the wings." But it is not right, not to speak Irish can not be allowed to use the alternate name outside of Scotland, as Bavvai Muenchen Munich and the Danish capital Copenhagen Keobenhavn.
